Think Client, Think Solution, Think Unique
Compliance in Australia can be complex and legislative requirements change from state to state, U.S.E. is a leader in providing compliance solutions for our clients.
Having a fundamental understanding of Australian Standards allows U.S.E to provide a niche solution to our clients. We identified through experience many consultants providing expensive adherence advice for compliance to Australian Standards whilst inexpensive and ‘do-nothing’ solutions had not been discussed.
Our unique skill set reviews compliance to AS3000 part 1, reviewing fundamental principles for your existing or proposed infrastructure benefits your capital expenditure greatly. Some examples are below:
– Voltage Utilisation – We have had clients experience the benefit of assessing voltage utilisation for end circuits compared to the AS3000 Part 2 allowable voltage drop of 5% or 7%.
– Fault Protection – With a fundamental understanding of Automatic Disconnection of Supply, we can achieve fault loop compliance in the LV MEN system based on fully traceable analysis and verification allowing certification where typical industry supplied software has reached its limits.
– Maximum Demand – Performing calculations based on operating plant or typical load factors we can achieve significant savings in cable sizing and utility compliance. This is particularly evident in the approach for neutral sizing in submains.
For earthing, we provide earthing studies for compliance to AS2067:2016 to support our developed earthing design. This includes the assessments completed to AS2067:2016, IEEE80, EG0 and EG1
For Power Quality Assessments U.SE. provides studies and assessments to determine compliance to AS61000.3.6 Distorting Loads (Harmonics) and AS61000.3.7 Fluctuating Loads (Flicker) in combination with local utility or client specific regulations/guidelines.
For protection systems compliance U.S.E. applies standard industry practice tailored to our clients technical and commercial requirements, with approaches originating from Energy Queensland designs, Network Protection and Automation Guide and the original GEC Protection Relays Application Guide.
Developing electrical designs tailored to achieve solutions from conceptual to detailed projects. Unique Spark Engineering (U.S.E.) delivers electrical designs from small scale pump stations to large high voltage pump stations, distribution networks, 33/11 kV Substations, Motor Control Centres and Main Switchboards.
Assessing your electrical infrastructure for arc flash hazards is becoming an industry standard and insurance companies continue to mandate completion of an arc flash assessment. U.S.E. delivers leading real world arc flash hazard assessments providing a risk based approach to any solutions, a core focus on minimisation of any required electrical works and easy to use control measures.
Our personnel have expertise and extensive experience in performing analysis on existing or proposed electrical systems. U.S.E. focuses on identification of electrical infrastructure limitations with options and recommendations for rectification of these limitations.
